We are looking for a Lead SQL Server Architect to spearhead complex database migrations, manage escalations, and ensure seamless upgrades. The role requires expertise in SQL Server, Azure SQL, and database performance tuning while collaborating with customer engineering and design teams to drive successful project outcomes. Experience in Telecom, Enterprise Solutions, and IT Infrastructure Management is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with SQL Server 2012-2022 and Azure SQL (Managed Instance & Database).
- Expertise in AlwaysOn, Replication, Log Shipping, and Performance Tuning.
- Hands-on experience with database migrations using tools like SSMA, DMA, and Azure DMS.
- Knowledge of Azure PaaS, Windows Server, security delegation, and storage components.
- ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
- Experience in database engineering and design.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale database upgrades and migrations.
- Provide expert consultation on SQL Server workloads and handle escalations.
- Conduct weekly and monthly customer reviews to ensure project alignment.
- Validate migration processes, recommend improvements, and provide automation inputs.
- Offer post-migration support during the warranty period.
- Work closely with customer engineering and design teams to meet business objectives.
- Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions for the SQL Server team.
