About the role:

The IDAM Practice Lead will support the sales and marketing teams by developing our technical solutions and supporting the associated estimation work to deliver them. As the Practice Lead you will also be responsible for the architectural standards which represent the practice; for our direct work with end customers, our joint work with partners and our support work into other organizations. You will build a best-in-class security first culture within the practice and ensure alignment with modern standards and best practices. You will also be working closely with our strategic IDAM vendors, including keeping current on their product training.


As an IDAM Practice Lead, in this role, a typical day will include:

  • Working with the Marketing team on current IDAM trends, issues, challenges, industry points of interest
  • Working with the Sales team on existing and new customer opportunities; developing solutions and costing those solutions
  • Reviewing and understanding customers cybersecurity/IDAM requirements
  • Evaluating existing security architectures and designs to meet customer needs
  • Develop the solution architectures and cost estimates for IDAM related tender responses
  • Review customers IDAM solutions for compliance to Australian Regulations and Standards
  • Collaborate with customers/stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical business functions and align cybersecurity activities
  • Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and work with system stakeholders to develop a mitigation plans
  • Review, define, and document security system interfaces to ensure the security posture of the current environment is maintained or improved
  • Provide Consultancy experience/advice for the development of end customers Vision and Strategy for Identity & Access Management


  • Providing advanced architecture and engineering support to automate and administrator identity and compliance requirements for enterprise information systems
  • Assess current applications and architecture to ensure current implementations align with industry guidelines, best practices, and management-approved standards
  • Architect plan for implementing management’s directives most securely with the least disruption
  • Responsible for the architect of identity processes, and creation of new identity processes
  • Extensive IDAM Architecture experience, strong in solution design and Active Directory
  • Experience in reviewing current end client setup and providing a solution
  • Ability to work with Customer Business leaders and I.T. Architects to create and articulate a Vision for Identity & Access aligned with the Business goals of the organization
  • Ability to work with Technical and Operations staff to define a strategy for delivering Identity & Access services
  • Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical business functions and align cybersecurity activities accordingly as part of an overarching Risk Management Plan

Must Have Attributes:

  • Ability to support sales activities by understanding end customer IDAM challenges, solving them with product based solutions, and then being able to support the effort estimates for delivering those solutions
  • Excellent documentation and Time Management skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated to improve and developing your knowledge of IDAM
  • A high standard of Quality in all that you do; a real attention to detail
  • 5+ years of IDAM Solution Architect; covering Single Sign-on (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privilege Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) and in Federated environments (Multi-cloud/On-prem/etc)
  • 2+ years of Solution Designer experience of a top tier vendor product – one of the following or an equivalent; ForgeRock, PingIdentity, SailPoint, CyberArk, Oracle, Okta, etc
  • 2+ years of direct IDAM Build/Configure/Testing support experience (Engineering) based on top tier vendor products. For example, ForgeRock, PingIdentity, SailPoint, CyberArk, Oracle, Okta, etc
  • Strong senior technical experience with proven ability to combine technical, operational and strategic advice and support
  • A positive, enthusiastic and ‘can-do’ attitude

Ideally you will also bring:

  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services: including Azure Identity, Networking and Azure resource management
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure AD as well as Hybrid, including features such as Autopilot & Intune and co-management
  • Good Hands-On Experience in Installation, Implementation, Testing, Deployment & Production-Support; Complete Software Development Life Cycle across multiple IAM projects
  • Technical expertise in End-to-End Implementation, Operations, and Support functions within multiple IAM projects
  • Hands-on experience in using IDM Multiple products like Oracle, ForgeRock, SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, etc
  • Team Leadership, Vendor Management, & Customer Engagement skills
