Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced aPay Payroll Architect to design and implement scalable, compliant, and integrated payroll solutions. This role involves working across platforms such as aPay, UKG Workforce Pro, and Workday HCM, ensuring seamless payroll operations that align with both business and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with stakeholder engagement skills to deliver high-quality payroll architecture across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Solution Architecture: Design, architect, and implement end-to-end payroll solutions with a focus on scalability, compliance, and seamless integration.
  • System Integration Leadership: Drive payroll integration between Workday HCM and UKG Workforce Pro, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow across HR, payroll, and finance systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with HR, Finance, IT, and compliance leaders to capture requirements, define priorities, and translate business needs into technical payroll solutions.
  • Standards & Governance: Establish architecture frameworks, integration patterns, and data governance models to ensure consistency, security, and long-term sustainability of payroll processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure payroll systems meet regional and global regulations, including statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit standards.
  • Implementation Oversight: Provide technical leadership during design, configuration, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve system discrepancies, performance challenges, and integration gaps while maintaining business continuity.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on platform enhancements, payroll legislation, and industry best practices, proactively recommending improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Guidance: Mentor and guide technical and functional resources, building payroll expertise across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience as a Payroll Architect, Solution Architect, or Payroll Consultant, specializing in aPay, Workday HCM, and UKG Workforce Pro.
  • Proven ability to design, document, and deliver payroll system integrations across enterprise-scale environments.
  • Deep understanding of payroll compliance, statutory obligations, and audit frameworks across multiple geographies.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud payroll systems, HR technology ecosystems, and integration tools.
  • Skilled in data governance, architecture documentation, and technical standards creation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience presenting payroll strategies and solutions to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with proven ability to solve complex payroll and integration challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
