We are seeking a highly experienced Citrix Active Network Engineer to join our enterprise technology team in Sydney. This role involves building and managing scalable Citrix environments with hybrid infrastructure integrations across Azure and on-premises systems. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Citrix CVAD/DaaS, App Layering, and virtualization technologies, and must be proficient in designing, implementing, and supporting complex VDI environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and support new Citrix Sites using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) and Citrix DaaS on Azure.
- Implement hybrid hosting models integrating Azure cloud and on-premises vSphere environments.
- Deploy Machine Creation Services (MCS) and Provisioning Services (PVS) for desktop and app delivery.
- Develop and manage App Layers using Citrix App Layering to optimize OS and application deployment.
- Configure Citrix NetScaler VPX for Gateway, ICA Proxy, load balancing, and secure access.
- Apply Group Policies (GPOs) for user personalization, security compliance, and performance tuning.
- Integrate Workspace Environment Management (WEM) for enhanced session experience and policy control.
- Collaborate with endpoint teams to configure Microsoft Intune and SCCM for device and software management.
- Automate environment provisioning and maintenance using PowerShell scripting.
- Maintain detailed documentation of architecture, configurations, policies, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Citrix technologies including CVAD (XenApp/XenDesktop) and Citrix DaaS.
- Proven track record in building Citrix Sites from the ground up, with in-depth knowledge of StoreFront, Director, Delivery Controllers, and Cloud Connectors.
- Expertise in MCS and PVS in enterprise environments.
- Strong background in hybrid infrastructure: Azure virtual machines, Azure AD, and vSphere.
- Proficiency in NetScaler VPX (Gateway, Load Balancing, GSLB) and App Layering.
- Working knowledge of GPOs, Active Directory, WEM, FSLogix, SCCM, and Microsoft Intune.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation and infrastructure management.
- Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, or CCE-V) and Microsoft Azure certifications are highly desirable.
