Delivery Centric is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer specializing in AWS and Snowflake to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures for enterprise-grade analytics platforms. This role involves developing robust data ingestion and transformation workflows, integrating advanced AWS services, and enabling efficient, secure, and high-performing data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Redshift, and DBT, with a proven ability to lead data modernization initiatives in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage end-to-end data pipelines using AWS and Snowflake technologies.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable, performance-optimized data architectures.
  • Build continuous data ingestion and transformation frameworks using Snowpipe, SnowSQL, and DBT.
  • Collaborate with clients to architect and deploy data platforms leveraging AWS services such as EMR, Glue, S3, Redshift, and Kinesis.
  • Develop Python-based automation scripts and reusable CloudFormation templates for orchestration and deployment.
  • Oversee security and compliance for data processing environments using AWS KMS or customer-managed encryption keys.
  • Lead AWS + Snowflake/Redshift implementation projects, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Perform advanced data modeling, validation, and migration from Teradata or similar systems.
  • Document and share architectural blueprints, technical designs, and reusable components for cross-team adoption.
  • Provide advisory support and optimization guidance during production rollout and maintenance phases.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of total IT experience with at least 5 years in Data Engineering using AWS and Snowflake.
  • Expertise in data pipeline orchestration, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency with AWS services such as Glue, Glue Catalog, EMR, Lake Formation, S3, Athena, Redshift, and Kinesis.
  • Experience in DBT, Python scripting, and data workflow automation.
  • Knowledge of Teradata, DataStage, or Hadoop environments (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and performance optimization in the cloud.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and version control (Git).
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work across global teams.
