Delivery Centric is seeking a highly skilled GitHub Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the modernization, security, and consolidation of enterprise code repositories on GitHub Enterprise Cloud. This role will define and implement enterprise-grade identity management, security policies, and DevSecOps governance across the development landscape. The ideal candidate will be a technical authority in GitHub administration, automation, and API security, capable of transforming development operations with a strong focus on compliance and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration and adoption of GitHub Enterprise Cloud, including the transition to Enterprise Managed Users (EMU) and secure integration with Identity Providers (Azure AD or Google Workspace) for SSO and MFA.
- Develop and implement enterprise-grade governance policies, including RBAC configurations, Personal Access Token (PAT) management, and access control frameworks.
- Drive the repository discovery and migration process, integrating assets with CMDB for full traceability and compliance.
- Implement and maintain Secret Scanning, Push Protection, and related security controls to protect sensitive data and credentials.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and DevOps teams to perform API security reviews, monitor vulnerabilities using CodeQL, and ensure rapid remediation of issues.
- Create and manage GitHub Actions workflows to automate code quality, deployment, and security validation across multiple repositories.
- Champion DevSecOps practices by aligning GitHub configurations, automation, and security with enterprise delivery pipelines.
- Provide training and guidance to development teams on GitHub best practices, branch protection, and secure code management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a GitHub Enterprise Cloud Administrator or SME, with end-to-end expertise in configuration, security, and automation.
- Deep knowledge of SAML SSO, SCIM, and EMU implementation, along with integration experience using Azure AD or Google Workspace.
- Strong understanding of API security, OAuth, and token lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in DevSecOps automation, scripting (Python, Bash), and GitHub Actions for build and deployment workflows.
- Experience managing large-scale repository migrations and applying compliance frameworks to source code management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills with a strong attention to governance and risk management.
- Certifications: GitHub Certified Administrator or equivalent (mandatory).
- Preferred: Experience in Azure DevOps administration and broader CI/CD pipeline governance.
