Delivery Centric is seeking a skilled Kubernetes SME – Infrastructure and DevOps Developer to join our Melbourne team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux administration, virtualization technologies, and container orchestration using Kubernetes. This role involves managing infrastructure environments, ensuring high system reliability, and supporting automation initiatives across enterprise-scale deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Linux operating systems, including user and group management, patching, and performance optimization.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation workflows to streamline system operations and deployment tasks.
  • Work extensively with virtualization technologies such as VMware for resource provisioning, system monitoring, and infrastructure scalability.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in production environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
  • Implement Kubernetes architecture best practices, covering nodes, pods, services, deployments, namespaces, and networking configurations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot networking components, ensuring efficient connectivity and traffic flow between containers and services.
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Cloud Engineering teams to build efficient CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Contribute to infrastructure documentation, process standardization, and knowledge sharing within the technical community.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux administration with strong command-line and shell scripting skills.
  • Proven expertise in Kubernetes cluster management, configuration, and deployment automation.
  • Working experience with VMware or similar virtualization technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, routing, and container networking models.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and DevOps toolchains is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and cross-team collaboration skills.
