We are looking for a skilled Linux Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Linux infrastructure, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (especially AWS). You will play a key role in supporting mission-critical applications, improving automation, and ensuring platform reliability in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, support, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure and enterprise web servers (Apache, NGINX, Tomcat).
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline infrastructure deployment and performance.
  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts for deployments and infrastructure changes.
  • Manage core network services including SSL certificates, DNS records, load balancers (ALB), and firewall rules.
  • Support and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high system availability and performance.
  • Work with API management tools like Apigee to secure and optimize service integrations.
  • Follow ITIL-aligned processes for incident, change, and configuration management using ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Contribute to internal documentation, system diagrams, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Linux system administration or infrastructure engineering role.
  • Deep understanding of Linux fundamentals, performance tuning, and system troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, preferably on AWS EKS.
  • Strong background in cloud infrastructure, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, or JavaScript for automation tasks.
  • Solid experience with web server technologies (Apache, Tomcat, NGINX) and load balancing solutions.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, including SSL/TLS, DNS, firewalls, and proxies.
  • Experience with Apigee or other API management platforms is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to ITIL processes and tools like ServiceNow is highly desirable.
