Delivery Centric is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Sydney team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modelling, SQL, and AWS data services, combined with hands-on experience in ETL, data warehousing, and test automation. You will work on enterprise-scale data solutions, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance across complex systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analytics and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, schemas, and pipelines for large-scale datasets.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data processing and reporting.
- Build and manage AWS data stack components, including S3, RDS, Redshift, Iceberg, and Glue.
- Develop ETL workflows using Glue, EMR, or Ab Initio to ensure smooth data integration and transformation.
- Utilize programming skills in Python and Spark for data processing and automation.
- Collaborate with BI teams to create data visualizations using PowerBI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory, or Octopus.
- Ensure data quality and reliability by performing test automation and using tools like JIRA for test management.
- Monitor data performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize pipelines for efficiency and scalability.
- Stay updated with latest data engineering tools, frameworks, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and relational database design.
