Delivery Centric is seeking a Senior Hadoop Administrator to join our team in Sydney. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience managing Cloudera CDP environments and large-scale Hadoop clusters. You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of big data solutions while ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Cloudera CDP components (Spark, HDFS, Hive, YARN) on Unix/Linux platforms
- Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera clusters, ensuring optimal performance and availability
- Lead technical teams and effectively manage vendor partnerships
- Implement and maintain automation tools using Shell or Python for system management
- Apply ITIL best practices, including change management and incident response
- Oversee continuous deployment processes for big data solutions on medium to large Hadoop clusters
- Manage system configurations, document procedures, and ensure knowledge sharing for business continuity
- Handle security configurations, including Kerberos, TLS, Active Directory, and Apache Ranger
- Ensure adherence to networking, file system management, and security best practices
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Hadoop administration, particularly Cloudera CDP
- Solid Linux/Unix (RHEL 7) system administration and shell scripting skills
- Experience in continuous deployment within big data environments
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization methods (Kerberos, TLS, Active Directory)
- Proficiency in automation tools (Shell, Python) and configuration management
- Experience with Apache Ranger and security practices for big data systems
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
