We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect with strong Data Center migration expertise to lead critical migration initiatives for enterprise systems. This role involves working closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams to assess current environments, define migration strategies, and ensure seamless transition with minimal risk. The successful candidate will play a key role in architecting, designing, and overseeing the migration of complex applications and infrastructure, ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with domain representatives to prioritize and assess applications for migration grouping.
- Assess and document the current state of applications, including servers, storage, integration points, criticality, and user access.
- Create and update current state artefacts, such as logical and physical diagrams, where required.
- Work with application teams to identify and resolve any documentation or system gaps.
- Partner with compute, enterprise compute, storage, and network teams to refine migration approaches.
- Provide input into Integration and Shared Services migration strategies.
- Develop target state architecture and designs for on-premises deployments, focusing on perimeter and complex applications.
- Socialize and validate target state architectures with application teams, solution design peers, security stakeholders, and review boards.
- Obtain necessary internal architecture and security approvals (IAF and SDG) for complex and perimeter applications.
- Act as technical lead during build and migration activities, serving as escalation point for design or technical issues.
- Lead triage and resolution of technical challenges arising during migrations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Infrastructure Architect, ideally within large-scale data center migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of on-premises infrastructure (compute, storage, network) and application dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to create architecture artefacts, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Deep understanding of migration strategies, security considerations, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including applications, integration, and infrastructure specialists.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present designs and obtain approvals.
- Hands-on experience in technical leadership and issue resolution during critical migration phases.
